Egidijus Darulis

Lithuanian artist

Born 1972 in Lithuania's Ukmerge town.

Lives in a very small Lithuanian village - Bartkushkiai.

Creator of original paint art.

My work is a story about the power of life, the Divine Plan for our planet, beauty, birth and death and their value.  Absolutely in all forms and in every corner of the canvas, each stroke, the rhythm can be read as one of the universal statements, spoken of Christ: "All is one ...".

Puslation of the strokes of paint, sea waves, rythm, that divides life to coal and water, life and death...

In my paintings I do not portray people or man-made objects and culture – only wild nature. On my canvas – only elements of life... And viewers can investigate it as it was under microscope. It is not a documentary representation or scientific research of the structure of organisms. The main form in nature is in the shape of a bean with a tail. We have all been in this form in the womb, every plant starts from the bean and the tail coming out of it. In all our lives we stay the same – a bean with a tail (brain, which goes along our spine). Later we branch out – grow our legs and arms to be able to survive. Tadpole‘s shape almost testifies peace, because it has nothing to protect itself with, to survive. It is „the main shape“ and I have started my painting cycle in 2014 with it, this theme is continuing and can continue endlessly.
